Show success for Wildcat artists

Successful 2005 art shows for Wildcat artists

The artists behind Wildcat's art ranges, Florals and Coastal, have shown their original art for the cards ranges at exhibitions this summer and autumn.

Some of the Coastal range were shown at the Broomhill Sculpture Gardens Gallery in Devon, as part of the North Devon Festival. Works were also shown at the North Devon Hospital. Other art work from the Floral range has gone on exhibition at the Ilfracombe Art Society Gallery, in Ilfracombe, and at the Jelly Leg'd Chicken contemporary art gallery in Reading.

Linda Hajdukiewicz, Wildcat's Director says: "I am delighted that the original vibrant work is being seen 'in the flesh' by artists and members of the public alike. So much of our card output is art-led, that showing works is an important adjunct to the card business. All the works have the characteristic vibrant Wildcat style - and this has got them noticed."

Woggle-Eyes Christmas range launched

A range of great new character Christmas cards has just been launched by Wildcat.

The new range of six Christmas Woggle-Eyes, includes a Christmas fairy, an ice skating polar bear, a reindeer with Christmas baubles in his antlers, a robin wearing a hat and scarf, a juggling penguin and a jolly santa.

Like previous Woggle-Eyes, the cards are square (144mm x 144mm), hand-finished with wobbly eyes and come cello-wrapped. New to Christmas Woggle-Eyes, is the caption 'Merry Christmas', iridescent and silver star confetti and a red envelope.

The hand-finished nature of the cards, mean that the cards are individual and are an ideal purchase for that special someone.

Linda Hajdukiewicz, Wildcat's Director says; "This is the first time Wildcat have launched a range into the competitive Christmas market. The concept for the range comes directly from feedback from our loyal retail customers who wanted to see the successful Woggle-Eyes range extended into the festive season. We believe that these cards are unique in the market and will prove popular with customers looking for that special card."

Woggle-Eyes range extended with 3 new designs

Wildcat has further added to the best-selling range Woggle-Eyes, with three new characters. The everyday Woggle-Eyes menagerie now numbers 19 different cute characters.

The new characters include: a smiley frog and his friends the bees and fish; a lion in the jungle; and an elephant giving a ride to a little bird.

The cards are hand-finished with stuck on wobbly eyes, and come cello-wrapped with a coloured envelope. For further details on the new characters or the range in general, see our Woggle-Eyes section.

Autumn Fair Success

A NEW RANGE UNVEILED

Autumn Fair achieved much for the Wildcat team, attracting visitors from across the UK and beyond. A particular hit with retailers was the Woggle-Eyes range, which has been one of  the most popular ranges for WIldcat since its launch this Spring.  Shown for the first time at a trade show, and including two new cards, Dog and Butterfly, the cards proved to be of great interest to retailers serving the children's market. The Woggle-Eyes range now includes 12 cards.

Also unveiled at the show, and a new departure for Wildcat, was an art range, Florals. Continuing the Wildcat trademark of bright colours, these art cards show flowers against vibrant often complementary backgrounds. The cards certainly attracted attention, particular amongst art venues. Its Colourfield range, launched earlier this year, has also captured interest in venues selling art cards.

Wildcat's run up to the show included appearing as a Featured Exhibitor on the Autumn Fair show site. Cards from Wildcat also featured prominently in glass showcases in the entrance to Hall 3.

Following on from this success, WIldcat has unveiled plans to show at Spring Fair for the first time, and will be there in February 2005 with further new ranges. See you there!

New Ranges for Spring

WILDCAT CARD COMPANY LAUNCHES HAND-FINISHED RANGES

Wildcat Card Company has just launched two new card ranges, aimed at both adults and children. The new ranges aim to deliver strong growth for Wildcat's retailer network.

'Colourfield' is an extension into popular pattern-led market with it's new range of 10 cards. The cards are all hand-finished with glitter, and retail at £1.99.

Wildcat also aims to further strengthen it's penetration into the juvenile card market with a delightful character-led range of cards, 'Woggle-Eyes'. 'Woggle-Eyes' include stuck-on wobbly eyes and offer a range of 10 cute
characters, ranging from a shoe-loving spider to a fat cat! Again cards retail at £1.99.

The new ranges form part of a new running programme of card launches, with two further ranges to be launched in late Summer.

Linda Hajdukiewicz, Wildcat Card's Director, says: "These are exciting times for Wildcat, and we are delighted to get our card launch programme off to a flying start with these fantastic new ranges. Our analysis of what's happening in the market, and the niche Wildcat fulfils, suggest that these cards will be extremely popular amongst customers."

Licensing at Wildcat

WILDCAT LOOKING FOR LICENSING OPPORTUNITIES

Wildcat now has several ranges of character-led cards, which it feels would be perfect for licensing, particularly in the kids market.

Although all card ranges have something to offer for product licensing, the character-led cards would be particularly attractive adorning kids ranges, and Wildcat is very keen to see the designs exploited on children's clothing, or on toys, etc.

If you are interested in licensing any of Wildcat's characters or designs, please contact Linda Hajdukiewicz, who is repsonsible for the licensing programme.

Linda may be contacted at: info@wildcatcards.co.uk.
